Hello Freshman Biology students! I'm looking forward to meeting you (behind your masks, of course) on August 25. Enjoy the rest of your Summer 'cause we're gonna hit the ground running on the very first day.

Please consider carefully your past performance in your science classes. If you had difficulties passing last year's 8th Grade Integrated Science, you might find Biology beyond your current capabilities. Many students take Earth Science first and wait to take Biology their sophomore year. Biology is taught at a high level, following state standards, and there is regular homework assigned, along with self-directed projects.

If you are not in class regularly and do not adequately complete the coursework, you will be at risk of passing, which affects your high school graduation requirements. Talk it over with your parents and school counselor to make sure you are in the freshman science class that best fits your needs and abilities.
